Options Group launched OGDiverse, a diversity and inclusion initiative, to inform the firm’s internal diversity initiatives globally, drive its external presence as a diversity thought leader, and continue to focus on the importance of diversity in how our company is positioned to clients, candidates and current and potential employees.
OGDiverse will continue building on the firm’s track record of diversity in all its different forms. The key is to address the shortage of diversity at the management level in the finance industry and help our client’s source suitable talent.
Acknowledging that Options Group is already 40% diverse, David Korn, the firm’s Chief Operating Officer, knew that the company had an imperative to build on its own hiring as well as support external events that foster diversity across the industry. To address these issues, Korn appointed Simi Schaerer, Partner, Zurich, and Lauren Leibson, Executive Director, New York, to co-lead the OG Diverse team and collaborate with a committee of key OG stakeholders from around the world to bring important diversity initiatives to life.
Initiatives will include hosting and co-hosting (with key clients and high-value sponsors) quarterly diversity and inclusion events including industry round tables, distinguished speaker talks, and networking opportunities in major financial capitals like New York, London, Zurich, Dubai, and Hong Kong. OGDiverse will also create programs and policies focused on maternity and flextime issues, hiring procedures, and mentorship and accelerator activities to both reflect and meet the needs of Options Group’s diverse staff.
